Originally from the Yamaguchi prefecture on the South-West side of Japan’s main island, Saori started to professionally bartend back in 2012, working for luxury resorts.
She notably was working for the membership bar of Yase Rikyu in Kyoto, which was her base to create new cocktails and enter several cocktail competitions in Japan.
She won the Resort Trust Hotel Cocktail Concours both in 2015 and 2016, as well as the “Shake Down” mixology competition in 2018 (Kahala Hotel) and finished 3rd in the HBA Improvement Cocktail Competition in 2016.
